Joan McCall was a beloved member of One World since our inception. She tirelessly led our Children’s outreach program for many years, volunteered regularly and never ceased to make us chuckle.
We love you, Joan! You will be missed.
Asha & The One World Band: Great people. Great music. Enough said.
Rev. Sydney served as One World’s prayer chaplain with love and dedication. She was a retired Unity Minister, having served as Associate Minister at Unity North Atlanta and as senior minister at Unity of Gainesville.
She retired in 2011 to continue working with her husband, Scott Lindquist, on their “Open Minds Open Hearts” online radio show. The show reached 57,000 listeners with its message of interfaith understanding and acceptance. After Scott’s death in 2012, Rev. Sydney began speaking at Unity and other New Thought churches.
She also continued her work promoting interfaith understanding with Interfaith Community Initiatives and other Atlanta interfaith organizations. Her last interfaith venture was as a key team member on One World’s interfaith outreach, the North Fulton Interfaith Alliance.
Rev. Sydney was a huge inspiration and contributor to our community, so we wanted to create a special page to help us remember her now and always.
Rev. Melanie and Rev. Linda attend a community event at Waller’s Coffee Shop in Decatur in support of the Compassionate Atlanta movement. Good stuff!
Just found this old photo of Rev. Melanie from a few years ago. We have no idea what she was talking about in this moment, but it looks interesting.
When our storage unit flooded, this is the team that moved everything to the new location, and there weren’t just a few items. Let’s just say, “these folks know how to pack!”
