“Out of Chaos, Clarity”

This week Rev. Melanie explores the topic of transformation in her talk entitled “Out of Chaos, Clarity.”

Have you noticed that change can be messy? When our lives are in flux, we sometimes can’t even begin to keep all the balls in the air. When we feel our lives descending into chaos, it may help to remember that creation can be an explosive business, but the end result can surprise  and delight us.

Morning Meditation, July 18, 2022 ~ Today’s guided meditation focuses on the surrender of our heart and mind to the present moment and to Divine Love. This practice helps us to learn to love and let go, accepting change so that we may live more fully. The reading today includes a passage by Jack Kornfield, from A Path with Heart.

“What We Offer”

The talk this week is entitled “What We Offer”, with Rev. Melanie Eyre. This week Muslims worldwide celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice. While this festival commemorates the story of Abraham’s offering of his son in sacrifice to God, it gives us an opportunity to consider the idea of sacrifice and release in our own lives. In our modern world, is there a place for this ancient notion? What does it look like, and why do we do it? Let’s talk about what we offer, and why, as we grow on our spiritual path.

We’ll also enjoy more fabulous music from Jennifer Ferren – we are very grateful to her!
