Owning our deepest truths inwardly and in community is a road to joy and connection, leading to a feeling of belonging to ourselves, to others, and to life itself.

PRAYER:
Prayer for the World from The Miracle Worker’s Handbook by Jacob Glass
God is with me now. He has a plan for the world.
I believe that God is all good and everywhere present.
I believe in the power of His love here on Earth.
I believe that He wills that the planet be healed.
I now begin to see the world as God would have it be.
All life is now cradled in His loving arms.
There is no place on earth that His light does not touch.
I now call upon His holy name to heal this world.
Divine Love is now flowing through every country and nation.
Every man, woman and child is embraced in perfect love.
There is no poverty, pain, sickness nor lack in God.
There is an abundant universe and there are more than
enough resources for everyone to have all that they need.
Every person and nation now draws to them all that they need
in order to be happy, healthy, safe and loved.
Under God’s plan everyone wins and no one loses.
Greed, addictions, anger, prejudice and sickness
all dissolve in the miracle of Divine Restoration.
The need to be right is released and dissolves.
All of nature is being brought into harmony as
the plants, animals and all living things
are restored to their natural state of being.
The citizens and leaders of every nation are now
being awakened to the truth of our Oneness.
All beings everywhere are being lifted up
to their highest and best.
We recognize the sacredness of all life.
We are all healed together.
Here and now I give my life to God that I may be used as
an instrument of healing and change.
I recognize my importance in this
plan for salvation of the world.
May I do no harm. May I help wherever I can.
Use me, Lord. I am Yours.

How Surely Gravity’s Law
How surely gravity’s law,
strong as an ocean current,
takes hold of the smallest thing
and pulls it toward the heart of the world.
Each thing—
each stone, blossom, child —
is held in place.
Only we, in our arrogance,
push out beyond what we each belong to
for some empty freedom.
If we surrendered
to earth’s intelligence
we could rise up rooted, like trees.
Instead we entangle ourselves
in knots of our own making
and struggle, lonely and confused.
So like children, we begin again
to learn from the things,
because they are in God’s heart;
they have never left God.
This is what the things can teach us:
to fall,
patiently to trust our heaviness.
Even a bird has to do that
before it can fly.
