Opening Prayer

From the Native American tradition

Greetings and thanks to each other as people.
To the earth, mother of all greetings and thanks.
And from the four directions, the four winds,
thank you for purifying the air we breathe and giving us strength.
And now the sun, for the light of a new day.
And to the stars for their mystery, beauty and guidance.
To our teachers from all times,
reminding us of how to live in harmony.
And for all the gifts of creation, for all the love around us,
and for that which is forgotten, we remember, and we give thanks.

Community Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer Translated from the Aramaic, by Mark Hathaway

O cosmic Birther of all radiance and vibration
Soften the ground of our being and carve out a space where your
Presence can abide
Fill us with your creativity that we may be empowered to bear the fruit
of your mission
Let each of our actions bear fruit in accordance with our desire. Endow us with the wisdom to produce and share what each being needs to grow and flourish
Untie the tangled threads of destiny that bind us, as we release others
from the entanglement of past mistakes
Do not let us be seduced by that which would divert us from our true purpose but illuminate the opportunities of the present moment.
For you are the ground and the fruitful vision, the birth-power and the fulfillment,
as all is gathered and made whole once again.
And so it is.

“Transforming Grief” with Melody LeBaron

About Melody

Sixteen years ago, Melody LeBaron graduated herself from one of THE most patriarchal cults on our planet and found her way to Kundalini yoga teacher training where she met Kali, the Hindu Goddess of Death and Destruction.  After 45 years of indoctrination in patriarchy, Melody began to heal the sacred divide of male/female within herself—and in her life—as her inner pantheon expanded to include Brighid and the Magdalene and many other Divine Feminine and Masculine archetypes.  Melody is now a Shamanic Priest/ess facilitator, an initiation process that activates the inner Shaman and the inner Priest/ess.

For more about Melody and her practice, visit her website: Transforming Loss.
