“What We Offer”
The talk this week is entitled “What We Offer”, with Rev. Melanie Eyre. This week Muslims worldwide celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice. While this festival commemorates the story of Abraham’s offering of his son in sacrifice to God, it gives us an opportunity to consider the idea of sacrifice and release in our own lives. In our modern world, is there a place for this ancient notion? What does it look like, and why do we do it? Let’s talk about what we offer, and why, as we grow on our spiritual path.
