On August 20, 2018 Muslims worldwide will celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice. While this festival commemorates the story of the Prophet Ibrahim’s offering of his son in sacrifice to God, it gives us an opportunity to consider the idea of selfless offering in our own lives. In our modern world, is there a place for this ancient notion? What does it look like, and why do we do it? Let’s talk about what we offer, and why, as we grow on our spiritual path.
