This year One World is working through Project GRANDD to sponsor a family for the holidays! Project GRANDD provides children’s gifts and holiday meals to Atlanta-area grandparents who are raising grandchildren with special needs and are doing so on less than limited budgets. Project GRANDD is a program of Innovative Solutions for Disadvantage and Disability (ISDD), and you can find out more about their ongoing programs at http://www.isdd-home.org/.
We will be helping a family with two children ages three and eleven. We can help this family have a wonderful holiday, letting them know that they are loved and remembered during the holiday season. We’ve been given a list of gifts the kids would love, and a shopping list of list of non-perishable food items that will ensure that our family will have a holiday meal.

One World is again donating to the Children’s Restoration Network (CRN) as they collect toys, clothing and gift cards to give to homeless infants, children and teens for Christmas. Please see the attached list of suggested gift items needed. We will collect donations on November 20 & 27 and December 4 & 11 after our gatherings at The Open Mind Center. We appreciate your donations, and if you’d rather donate funds for us to shop, we’ll do that as well! As CRN says, you can help provide a wonderful holiday for metro Atlanta’s homeless children!
