Welcome!
We are so glad to welcome Iyabo Onipede, Co-Director of Compassionate Atlanta, to speak to us on the holiday of Juneteenth, our newest federal holiday. This celebration of the emancipation of enslaved persons has a long and rich history, and its recognition as a holiday to be celebrated nationally is both wonderful and overdue. Many thanks to Iyabo for her willingness to share this holiday with us and tell us more about it.
In addition, tomorrow is Father’s Day, and we wish a wonderful Father’s Day to all fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, as well as all who share that loving fathering energy with others. Have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to you joining us tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.!
