|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until Wednesday, March 6, 2019

CBCT – (Cognitive-Based Compassion Training) is a method for cultivating greater well-being through the use of reflective practices. Developed at Emory University by professor Lobsang Tenzin Negi, CBCT fosters compassion through a process that begins with the stabilization of attention and awareness of one’s own mental activity. Gradually through the use of analytical mental exercises, one learns to strengthen compassionate concern for others while avoiding empathic fatigue.

Weekly for 8 sessions:
January 16 – March 6
Wednesday evenings, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Taught by Timothy Harrison
